yes that a classic scenario where the Ipad would be a flop as a e reader, if you have a daily commute on public transit, (bus,train , van pool....) the natural sunlight flooding in the windows would make the Ipad unreadable where the Jet book or my libre would handle the mix lighting with easy (ie train going in and out of tunnels) Yes the jetbook or libre my not be the fastest , sexiest e reader but, they are a brilliant compromise design, great screen, compact take everywhere size and weight, decent battery life , good format compatibility, they are superior e readers to the Ipad. Yeah it would be nice to have a magic do all device but that's not reality. You want a good e book reader get one , if you want a multi media /web/productivity deceive that you can use out of direct sunlight get the Ipad if you got the $$$$ and want to put up with is wonkie wifi
