I never expected it to be readable outside. What I found worse was the fingerprints you can see on the screen when he goes outside... It's one of the reasons I really don't like those high glossy screens. Also, when he is inside, you can see the lamps above him in perfect detail on the screen. I'd be worried more about that than the fact that it's not really readable outside...
