I amended my answer to your post. I just want to make it clear that I didn't do any finger or stylus writing. Everything I did was via the virtual keyboard, and that was quite a pleasant surprise! Writing is what I would want it for as well. If only I had $500 to spare!

Anyone want to buy a Nook?
