Stustaff you keep saying this and ignoring the replies, because you artificially limit the search to about the same screen size, etc. In other words you're saying "show me something pretty much exactly like the iPad that's better".

Others have said that for specific functions there are better tablet devices, and the form factor of a 10" screen may not be perfect for all those functions.

For consumption of mobile video and internet, Archos have excellent devices available with larger storage capcity and a much more portable form factor.

For eReading of books with mainly text there are numerous eInk devices available much lighter and with much longer battery life.

For office work and more general computing needs there are many existing tablet PCs that are far more powerful than the iPad, and are just as good at displaying web pages and magazines (better if you want to get into the whole Flash argument).

What we have with the iPad is a useful device that compromises across the board on the best possible implementation of each function to present a very clever blend of features in a 10" device, for those that would prefer a tablet to a netbook.

It's a good buy now, but others are following in the same form factor, and the end of this year looks like being a good time to compare the market.
