It works really well in the Safari browser. The fonts are crisp, and the formatting superb. Scrolling is natural. It uses the HTML view.
Safari Online books was one of the big reasons I got the iPad (another big on was reading technical Pdf, and Goodreader is working out well there). Love the iPad, and now I have a nice way of reading technical books away from my desk :-)
There are a few glitches in Safari Books Online, for example it only displays a few books in my folders - but it's not a show-stopper since I can get to them via bookmarks or searching.
