Hopefully it was just breaking in the battery you were seeing. lBook is pretty close to the same although they have some nice extra features I wouldn't think battery life to be one of them. At least I didn't notice much difference when I tried it. It seems that each version leapfrogs the last. lBook is better for a while, then Jinke (Astak) and then back again. lBook is definitely leading edge when they are first released.
