E-mail has got a lot of people in trouble. In the old days, to send an angry letter, or even a humorous but easily misunderstood letter you had to compose it, put it in an envelope, put on a stamp, and carry it to the nearest mailbox. Hopefully by that time, you had plenty of opportunities to reconsider the tone of the letter.
With e-mail, most of those steps have been eliminated. Still, how many times have you composed an e-mail, or even a post to MobileRead, and then reconsidered and deleted it before posting?
When e-mail can be sent with the speed of thought, how many friendships will be broken?
