Hi everyone, I'm a new sony ereader owner. I just picked up a prs-300. I've been reading ebooks for years, downloading them to my palm pilot from binary newsgroups. Ah, the good old days. Back then you needed patience and a willingness to read books that had pages of gibberish as a result of poor formating but it was okay since it was all volunteer work. I just converted one of the old books I downloaded years ago and put it on my reader with absolutely no problems. I also just bought a book and loaded it, also with no problems. The refresh rate is a little annoying but it's a small problem compared with the multitude of benfits that this reader is providing me. Technology will continue to improve and that won't always be an issue. Anyhow, happy to be on board here and I look forward to learning more about my reader and contributing where I can.
