What do you mean it cannot open non-english filenamed PDF/EPUBs? I think that bug has been fixed. I just tried and it opens and shows "علشان ما تنضربش علي قفاك.pdf" without problems.
This only applies to the folder view, in which it makes sense to show filenames, not metadata. All other views are unaffected.
