My favorite is
Verdana.
It is sanserif, and very dark and easy to read. I first discovered it on my Alphasmart Dana unit that included Palm's ereader software.
I have made it my default font in my Word Processor and use it for my ebooks that I create.
Other preferred fonts........?

Have to agree. Love Verdana... But also partial to Palentino, Dejavu sans condensed, Georgia, Arial, and a few others.
