Have you tried contacting your library and asking if using Overdrive is something they will consider? Or if they use it, maybe they would be willing to get the license to more books, if enough people requested it. My local library just started offering the ebooks with Overdrive on March 15th. They've offered audio books for quite a while, so I was excited when they started doing ebooks, too. And before they offered ebooks, I contacted Overdrive and asked if there was an option to subscribe to the service, for a fee. They said no, but did say that sometimes some of the larger libraries will let a non-resident pay for a library card, so that is something to consider, as well. I don't know what the cost would be, but it might be something to look in to. It might be way too expensive, but it might be an option.
