my cats have finally caught on (after repeated battles of nerves) that there is no point in waking me up at dawn o'clock, and that the more obnoxious they are, the longer i will deliberately stay in bed pretending to sleep just because they're ticking me off. i do have to contend with the occasional relapse but overall i'm pleased to say it's a lesson well learned.
