Once again I have a lake in my backyard. We've had a superabundance of rain this year, and this morning it was topped off by a thunderstorm. Funny thing is; precisely one minute before my wife was due to get up, a major thunderclap jarred her out of bed—not to mention that it scared the bejeebers out of Norton! And my ex-DIL was dreaming about being on the verge of having an auto accident when the thunder woke her up.
The good thing is that all the garden preparation I began last Fall seems to be paying off. The vegetable garden is one of the few spots in the yard that isn't flooded.
