I have my physical copy of The Noah's Ark Quest right here beside me.

During my day out I did some investigating.

Liverpool:
Target and BigW a dozen or so copies each - $20 WITH STICKERS! "Publisher's Promise Love this book or your money back!"

Dymocks - small book store in national chain - couldn't find it.
Angus and Roberson - small book store in national chain - 1 copy $33

(I quite often can't find books I'd like in these shops. They may be national but they're just too small to stock a good range of books. )

Sydney City:
Dymocks - large branch of national book store chain. More than a doz copies $32

Abbeys - specialist shop (specialising in crime, history, children's, foreign language, science, politics and law) a weird mixture but great at what it does. Quite a few copies $30.

No time to check Kino......... (can't pronounce it), and Borders has closed due to the shopping centre being remodelled. If I go to Parramatta any day soon I'll check there.

I got my copy at Abbeys. I know it cost more but I like to support independent bookstores. I have a points card. I didn't want to carry the book all the way into the city by train. And Geoff hates BigW as they have automated customer check out machines and he says it's taking people's jobs. (I say those workers are helping all the customers through the machines as hardly anyone gets through without help. ;-)

Hope this is informative and not just boring. You definately sold one copy today! It's interesting about the stickers in Target and Big W. Not many books get those. Good sign?

Fingers crossed for good sales for you, Laine
