One of the things I'd asked for early on was the ability of the open dialog to see user directories so we could store in categories. Of course I'm new to WinMo, so I'd overlooked something obvious that makes that unnecessary for me.
Of course there's no way that I'm aware of to associate files inside file explorer, but there are plenty of utilities that make it easy -- I just installed
WMkits (free), associated epub with freda, and now I'm getting ready to move my entire library both into epub from various formats and onto my device. I no longer have organization concerns relating to that.
Categories in my old Palm version of eReader were one of the few things I've missed since moving to WinMo. Even the WinMo version of eReader sucks in that regard. But this system is actually way better since now I get as many subcategories as I want. All I have left to do is create a shortcut for my spb home screen that opens file explorer straight to my ebooks directory, and I'll be really good to go.
Edit: my shortcut:

I'd still like to figure out what argument would put file explorer into Icon View (like you get from Start -> Programs) instead of list view, but this is good enough for now. Effective categorization has returned.
