Well, there goes the hope that the Agency model would be used to drive down prices where appropriate.
I'll vote with my wallet: If I can afford it, and it is the same or less than paper, then OK. If they charge more than paper, or more than I can afford, library time.
What a stupid move. I hope this is fear mongering on BoBs part, and that the only books that double in price are the super high demand books, and the rest are discounted.
