I've only barely started listening to Mary Doria Russell's "Dreamers of the Day." Loading up parts 2 and 3 of Nora Roberts' "Blood Brothers" series while I am typing. We are leaving for a week of cherry blossom ogling and desperate to get out of Alabama, so I need plenty to listen to. And I can call it a business trip since we plan to spend a lot of time in the Natural History museum at the Smithsonian in the rock and gem sections.
I've been relying heavily on audiobooks for the past 2 weeks or so. My eyes have been extra bad and get strained more easily than usual. I can't do any sort of jewelry work, even with my lenses and loupes at the highest magnification. I'm sure it will clear up enough to get back to faceting.
EDIT: I need to add that the only other book by Russell that I've read was "The Sparrow" and it made my skin crawl! I hope this one is not so graphic!
