I'm with Harry on the use of "gift" as a verb. It seems to be mainly encountered in ads, where I suspect the advertiser wants to borrow the connotations of "gifted" (as in the sense of "especially talented") to make their merchandise sound more "special". It always affects me like fingernails on a blackboard.
