You can make B&N books readable on Kindle and vice versa.
ePUB widely is considered the standard format. So having a reader, which is able to handle it natively, clearly can be an advantage.
Why is BeBook Neo twice as expensive as Kindle 2?
What's the price of Kindle 2 for you in Australia?
My guess: Including shipment from the US, it should be about $ US 300, right?
BeBook Neo/Onyx Boox you should be able to get for less than $ US 380. When you order from US, there should only be 2 differences in price:
a.) list price of Kindle 2 is a bit lower, about $ US 40.
b.) Kindle 2 can be ordered directly from Amazon. BeBook Neo/Onyx Boox probably has to be ordered via 3rd party. That's about 10% commission on the list price = ca. $ US 30.

Mgmueller, Thanks for the reply.
I can buy the Kindle for yes about US300 - AU dollar is 90c to 1 US so good at the moment.
I was quoted to buy the Bebook Neo in Dymocks bookshop at AU$536 dollars, they have it in stock and I am going tomorrow to look at it.
If you can help me with the conversion of files it would be wonderful. As with access to both those sites it covers all the books I love - plus the other pre 1943 classic books and burgomeister. So that solves that concern.
Again its either the kindle 2 or Neo - I am thinking Kindle 2 its cheaper and maybe I will update to Ipad - next year. When they release in Australia in April , Ibook will not be available but when it is I will have the Amazon, B&N and apple store to select from. What do you think?
Again big thank you, you are making my life so much easier.
