Unfortunately this isn't an easy fix.
K2 and DX use a newer file format for periodicals (the catalog is a periodical). Given the fact that the K1 is no longer sold, and this problem has rarely been mentioned, it's not going to be a priority to add support for periodicals on the K1.
I will add a ticket to the bug database documenting the problem, and I'll update the first post in this thread to mention that the K1 is not supported.
