Cancelx: No, the slot does not have a problem. The problem is (perhaps) running the wrong type of card in the slot. Nothing is wrong with the device... but this may help narrow down a report a few end users saw their battery charge life dramatically decrease when they did the March Firmware Upgrade while others had no problem at all. We are all trying to straighten out that firmware upgrade so we can confidently post it again.

This is rubbish. I have no page turn issues, but I experienced the battery flat issue. I have always had the same SD card in the slot. I never even remove it.

It is NOT a charge life issue. That's just spin making it sound better than it is. It goes flat in an EXTREMELY short period of time (an hour or two) indicating something kept running consuming power when the device should have been in a quiescent state.
