I also considered this reader having done considerable research prior to my current purchase, but when I found that you could only down load in TXT and not in PDF or ePub I crossed it off my list. A wise move I think. Price isnt everything.
My wife and I have both gone for Sony readers. Mines a PRS600 and hers a PRS 300. Both excellent units. I am just concerned about the battery life on the 600. It doesnt seem as good as the 300. But I have a mains charger so it isnt an issue as yet.
Anyway I think you made the right move ditching the Binatone and getting the Sony
