Sorry but here comes the myth again... for NiCd batteries a great idea (and a very old one now)... these (and most modern devices) use LiOn batteries and don't require the full discharge cycle every so often. This procedure can actually shorten their lifespan... it's also recommended that if not being used for lengthy periods then best practice is to leave at half charge before switching off...
