Mobis from PDF

Mercury7,

As I usually create eReader .pdbs (I use eReader on my PC, laptop, tablet and Dell PDA), I don't know. But if Mobipocket Creator can extract from the PDF, sure, why not? Give it a try. I prefer Acrobat Pro as I have it as part of my Adobe Creative Suite 2, that's all.

But,have you guys tried the Mobipocket Creator? It looks like it would be able to directly make a HTML-based eBook from a PDF as long as the source file was unencrypted. This would work on non-DRMed files for the Cybook, right?

I'm new to eBooks, so I don't quite understand all of the format issues...

But, wouldn't the Mobipocket Creator be able to make HTML-based eBooks out of unencrypted PDFs? That would solve the problem for the non-DRMed files, right?
