It would be an even swifter 'short pint' :-). 500ml is about 12% less than an Imperial pint, which is exactly 568.26125 ml.)
Of course, in the US this isn't an issue, as a US pint is actually about 5%
less than 500ml, being exactly 473.176473ml.
So moving to metric units for drinks would actually get US drinkers a tiny bit more!
