Thanks for your recommendation (and joke!)
I have gone the boring way and purchased a Kindle and my daughter has taken to it like a duck to water - she finds it WAY easier to read and I am delighted. My husband is also delighted as, being partially sighted, he loves the massive print size - doesn't even need to use the largest. I've succesfully downloaded several books from Gutenberg - a great success!
