On the other hand, it is probably quite beautiful up there, so there would be many worse places to be stuck. I'd still recommend a visit to scope it out though.

I've looked at maps and aerials because that was one of my first concerns. this place has a ski area right outside town, so it can't be to bad. a 13 hour drive is not terribly easy to do.

I think it is probably pretty much like the front range! maybe more Fort Collins than Boulder, but you get the drift
