I'm not sorry it was released. Even with its problems, I am enjoying it so far. At least I haven't felt a need to replace it with the December firmware or go out looking for other Hanlin V5 firmware (which might be fun, come to think of it...)
One thought, which probably can't be easily implemented considering the apparent firewall between you (Robertb) and the design/designers of the Astak and theEZReader.com websites (with regard to their reliance on Flash):
What about posting new firmware with a clear "BETA" label, and those of us who are brave or curious enough can explore it, while everyone else retains some reasonable assurance that the listed "stable" version will (mostly) suit their needs? A lot of open-source software is distributed this way. The end-user has a choice. And given there are also one or more "stable" versions available for download, one can easily fall back to an earlier version without having to painstakingly archive every build they download.
Just a thought or three...
