Hmm. No, I think I might have to disagree with that statement. What society says is wrong is usually illegal... but not necessarily wrong. Society's been wrong before about such things. The lack of legal gay marriage stands out as an example of that in my mind.
I'd say it's more a matter of ethics themselves than what society has to say about them.
