nice ! it looks like they have quite a tasty selection, too. i'm glad you won't be deprived of tilleul any more.

Right at the moment I'm enjoying a bowl of cream of wheat cereal with chopped almonds and golden raisins, topped with some soy milk. I suppose you'd have to skip the crunchy/chewy bits, but you could drizzle in some nut butter and fruit conserves instead....
yeah, no raisins or almonds for me at the moment. i don't think we have cream of wheat here. unless that's the same as bledina. i didn't think of buying any of that.

But here's what you get your helpful friends (who are supposed to be looking in on you) to do:

Chop up a bunch of carrots, and some ginger
Place in a pot with water
Boil until soft
Purée
Add black pepper, and possibly some minced chilis, if you like that sort of thing
Reheat if needed
Serve

I'd get him to make a batch for you, but I don't think it would travel well by trebuchet.
yum ! sounds delicious. (although alas, you're probably right that it's not suited to trebuchet travel.) much like carrot, cauliflower, and cumin soup. but, ah, without the cauliflower and cumin, and with ginger. i'll see if i can get someone to either buy me carrots or actually come over and make me soup (here is where you find out who your real friends are, right ?). currently i'm discovering that the carrot, pumpkin and coriander pre-made soup from monoprix is quite tasty, and if you have it with some potato purée it's quite filling as well. luckily there's not too much coriander since i don't actually like that much. sadly i only bought one bag of it.

stop that ! (actually, despite my dietary restrictions, i would like to say that they actually fed me quite decently while i was in the clinic, which i was not expecting.)

actually pshrynk made me doubt my typing and then you made me doubt my spelling, but i've checked, and compote doesn't take a circonflex. (i wouldn't mind if it did, i like those and i more often make the mistake of adding one which is unnecessary than forgetting one which should be there, so that would have been a surprising mistake for me).
