Loved him in the original Mission Impossible TV show.

Never could abide the movies, which should have been named "The Tom Cruise Show" parts "I, II, and III" in which the concept of M.I. as a team effort was thoroughly demolished. I especially deplored the plot device of having Jim Phelps turn traitor because there was no more Soviet system to fight against to give his life meaning. The character portrayed by Peter Graves was never that shallow, not was disloyalty in his makeup.

Goodbye, Mr. Graves. You are missed!
