In my search for a light that did not create a "hot spot" (bright reflection) on the screen, I tried one of these:

While reclining in bed or on a couch, place the light on your forehead. Looks silly, but works! A slight twist of the reader directs the "hot spot" away from the viewing area. The small light is not objectionable to anyone sleeping nearby.
