$100 is a good price but when jetBook-Lite on sale you can get it for $115 from NewEgg
and enjoy 22-24 hours nonstop reading, eReader DRM books and AA replacable batteries... but this unit can be useful if you have plans to use it for digital pictures.

Fry's has the similar Aluratek Libre for $139.99. Better battery life, but they have 4-greyscale non-backlit screens. A 4-greyscale screen doesn't render fonts as smoothly as a screen with 256 or more colors. Anti-aliasing with only 4 colors is really not good. I got the Libre and like it, but you have to have an external light in dimly lit locations. The OpenBook has a color, backlit screen that should in theory be much easier to read.
Also, the JBL doesn't display ePubs very well, but does better with other formats. The Libre uses ADE so ePubs display similar to the Sony PRS900 with justification, but other formats don't look as nice. The Libre also has PDF reflow because of ADE, the JBL does not. It remains to be seen what software the OpenBook will use to display ePubs and other formats.
