Another time the thing I ordered got stuck in customs for WEEKS and I ended up with a price that was far from what I had expected. Another bad experience.
Sad that it should be this way and I bet it has it's problems to order in the other direction too.
Anyway there seems to be very little consensus on this!
Hans had a good experience and penartur paid an insane ripoff price for shipping to Russia.
There also seems to be a difference between the American and European models and I have not yet understood what it is.

They spell it "shipito", with one t only. That is what sites like this are for. User sharing their real world experiences, otherwise how would you know who you can trust? No, you don't have to give them a copy of your passport. That would be for a virtual credit card or something. But still, they have your stuff, so reliability is most important. I have used shipito 4 times up to now, very quick and reliable. In the end, they probably only charged me about $9.- for handling the DR800SG (I estimate regular shipping from the US to Taiwan to be about $40), so I am very happy with their service and am spreading the word. They also used to sell gift certificates for the US Apple online store, if anyone is interested.
But the $900 penatur mentioned must be a typo, right? Probably meant to say 90? Still a lot. Because if it was really 900, why not just buy the European version?
