hehe absolutely true.
People are willing to buy all kinds of media as long as it is two things:
- Reasonably priced.
- Easy to get.
So stores like iTunes/Amazon are very successful for mp3 sales. You just add your credit card details once. Click 'buy' and within seconds you are consuming your purchase. DRM and proprietary software gets in the way of that easy purchase - consume flow.
You would expect marketers and consumer analysts to recognise this bleedingly simple truth but they are busy making life harder for consumers and suing naughty consumers (like the RIAA suing dead people, grandmas and kids for thousands).
