Oh, and I use the Reader to cut down on schlock new novels --- you know, the three serial killer books out this month and such. I need to be reading fiction a lot, and I don't like to save most of the stuff out there.
I've noticed the Sony Reader makes it easier to stop reading a crumby novel. Less visual stimulus to continue, I suspect. This is good --- there are lots of good books, no need to waste time on hopeless characters and plots.
