Love that, love Trenet. I've been listening to Trenet all morning as I write and now he's infiltrated the fiction and the jukebox in the Mermaid Cafe.n So much so that the end of the book will focus on the Trenet song, La Mer (thankfully the Mermaid Cafe is located at the end of a pier looking out upon an unnamed sea)
