I'm of the mind that breaking the EULA for fair use is OK. And that if you do obtain the eBook without paying for it, then you are in fact stealing. I know it's a digital file and how do you steal a copy of a digital file, but if nothing else, it's stealing money from the author and/or publisher.
So what we need to do is come up with a word that means
obtaining a copy of a digital file without paying for it. I'm not going to call this copyright infringement because if that's what it is then what is copyright infringement needs to be changed so this (in effect) is called some form of theft.
