For me, the key with PDFs is to ensure they are sized for your ereader's screen. The PDFs I make for my reader are great at the default size, but are not that great at other screen sizes (although they are okay at larger sizes).

Even though my reader is able to reflow PDFs, I've been unsatisfied with the results. Instead, if I want the text to be larger, I increase the text size in my source document and then regenerate the PDF. With a properly formatted source document, it only takes seconds to regenerate the PDF.
