This is indeed a "desktop replacement" type of computer. Studies have shown that very few of the people that own laptops really use them on just the battery alone. Even on an airplane I almost always use my iGo power converter. The battery in my laptop died a long time ago and still I keep it. It does everything I need in a laptop even if it is a P-3 @ 450 MHz.

I still keep the tower and mid-tower machines at the home office along with a few cube computers (Shuttle like.) Like Arek_W I favor the flexibility that is only afforded in build it yourself machines. I have more choices in this footprint than any other. In the long run it is also a lower cost method than any other that I have found to get exactly the configuration that I want.
