The idea is that people would be unwilling to give away the credit card number and the name on the credit card, to others so that the book (while in its DRM form) is safe from theft.

In contrast, Mobipocket/Kindle uses a PID and you could in fact give the PID to others along with the DRM'd book if you wanted someone else to read it.

Your own eReader program should ask you for that same information (actually they want the entire cc number!) and the name on the credit card when you try to open that book for the first time (or already has and has kept it stored someplace).

So assuming, you are trying to process an eReader .pdb book and not some other type of book (Barnes & Noble also sells epub format books with DRM which require a different "tool" to deal with those books.), the program is doing the right things (ie. the same thing that your own official eReader program is asking you).

If you need more specific help, simply pm me here or ask on the Dark's Blog for help. People there are friendly and happy to help as long as it is just format conversion for another reader or for archiving and not theft. They are very clear about that on the Dark's blog.

Hope this helps.

AWESOME!!! It worked! I typed in the name as it appeared on the cc but not how I paid for it on B&N. I corrected that and it worked. It just converted in Calibre and I'm about to import it to my device! Wow, you guys are so good!

Thanks so much!
