Mmm, but the shenanigans at the University of East Anglia does leave a nasty taste in the mouth doesn't it? And whilst the climate change lobby makes the point that the fundamental science remains unscathed, the fundamental science has been carried out by scientists who, for all we know, might be driven by the same motives that Phil Jones and his cohorts were - whatever those motives were.
