Funny thing is, the "professional" radiators they sell for this are just remanufactured Bonneville heater cores tapped for hose fittings; they sell for around US$45 for that and some black paint. I pay USD$20 at the auto parts store about a mile away, then get vinyl tubing & hose clamps from the hardware store down the street. Haven't had a leak from a finished system in the 4 years since I built the first one.

That whole Bonneville thing started by accident; seems a rather enterprising individual several years ago discovered that a '77 Bonneville heater core just happens to fit perfectly into one 5 1/4" drive bay and has just the right surface-area for a pair of 120mm fans. If you're short on space, a heater core from an '86 Chevette is exactly half the length and will correspondingly use a single 120mm fan.
