Some "lockups" can be exited by holding the return button for 10-15 seconds (not a quick press).

Power OFF while reading should not do it.
Power OFF while saving a Bookmark,place, could, it is writing the markers and updating the file allocation table (FAT)

Some books take time to open.
My complaint with the DEC 09 FW was: this was taking minutes for EPUBS under 1M and only 20 secs. with the NOV 09 FW.
Kind of hard to spot a lockup with times like that.


A corrupt file system could cause lockups if the viewer software can't report "File I/O error" and exit gracefully to the menu.
