Davis, Frederick C.: The Premature Obituary. v1. 16 July 07

Frederick C. Davis was a prolific writer of pulp fiction during the 30s and 40s. The novella here was published in the early 40s. In addition to his regular detective pulp output, he also wrote for some of the hero pulps of that era.

The detective in this novella is what's known as an "obituary solicitor."

I hope you enjoy it.
