This may be "old news" on the forum, so excuse me if this is a repeat. I received an email from Amazon.com today offering a free download of the beta of Kindle-software for PC. I set it up in 30 secs and downloaded 6 free Kindle books (I am in Greece) via typical PC wireless connection. I am very pleased the ease-of-use and display (on my 9" convertible PC), and I will probably try buying a book tomorrow. Prices seem quite reasonable and the selection is awesome. This software "registers" a Kindle to my Amazon account and permits me to purchase, download and display Kindle books.

I was pleasantly surprised to have this service available to Europe!
