Exactly - something IS better than nothing. Hubs isn't after a present, what he wants is just some recognition for his long-term service. I think it doesn't help that the upper managers there never thank the staff for anything.

My response from the email I wrote to the Director of the company was short and not-so-sweet: "you make some good points" !!!

What kind of a response is that! No apology, nothing.

I am encouraging hubs to retire asap - he's 55 so we're working our socks off now to pay the mortgage off in the next 5 years.
