One of my most vivid memories of my father is of him laughing his head off at me as I cried my eyes out while watching a movie on tv. (It was about Beau Brummell and starred Stewart Granger.) This was many, many years ago.

Just last year a Harlequin romance had me in tears - Anything for Danny. It was about an estranged couple and their son who had leukemia.

I'm more inclined to cry in private than in public.
