Archive.org, the
Archive Team and similar groups are becoming the custodians of our history. Heck, the British Library has announced they will be taking yearly snapshots of the .uk domain space.
For corporate greed to deny us part of Human knowledge in the race for profit is quite literally a crime against Humanity.
