There was such a fuss about it in the 1980s, mostly made by fundamentalists.

The logo started when someone began marking all shipping arrivals from P&G with a hand-drawn crescent moon for easy identification. People came to associate P&G with a crescent moon, so the company adopted a stylized crescent moon as their logo. Then in the latter half of the 20th century fundamentalists began spreading the rumor that it was a satanic symbol and that P&G was run by Satan worshipers.
They now have a lame new logo that is so bland no one could possibly misinterpret it. What a pity; as the old logo was one of the most attractive and artistic in the corporate world.
Fundamentalists! Why are they called that? They're no FUN, and they certainly don't display a great deal of MENTAL ability. They ruin everything they touch. They're like Bizarro World versions of King Midas.
